Time~Space~Choices; In the pursuit of healing and health

What is your choice when you look at each 24-hour day?

We each have 24 hours a day. Many times, not giving a thought to how we use these hours.

Who, What, When, Where, and How do we examine our time?

Ask yourself – Who do I want to have in my 24 hrs.?

What do I want to accomplish in my 24 hrs.?

When do I start each 24 hrs.?

Where do I want to be physically, mentally, and spiritually in my 24 hrs.?

How can I accomplish all that I think important for my 24 hrs.?

As you grow and learn throughout life these answers should have flexibility.

In the opening of one’s eyes each day, time becomes a precious gift of 24 hrs.

The need to re-examine the list of personal priorities of this commodity called time takes on more importance as one ages. Perhaps as the realization that the responsibility of choices sits within each of us, our own self time and care is realized.

In the pursuit of healing and health it would be better to start prioritizing our time earlier rather than later with regards to our lifestyle plan of action.

Words & Thoughts Promote Wellness Within

Self-communication can promote healing and an attitude for health in your life.

Look within and ask yourself these questions

What type of words do I use the most?

What words do I  use to myself?

What words are used to address others?

What words do I  use in my thoughts?

Positive words used in communication  promote healing and healthy vibrations in our mind, body, spirit, and environments.

Negative words are not health promoting communication tools.

Negative words promote disorder and illnesses; throw them out of your life

Studies show that your health and healing is happening every moment in your day.

Health Is Not Perfection or Magic

The Quest for perfection-is it killing us?  The Stress of Perfectionism.
“As humans, we mature by encountering resistance. We learn by making mistakes. True beauty only becomes visible in relation to the proverbial beauty spot. We become unique through our little flaws, not through a quest for perfection.”

Using Food for Health & Healing Greens & Fruit Drinks

Using local and organic greens is the healthiest way to begin a healing health plan.

Greens and fruits are wonderful gifts of Mother Nature and can assist in the promoting of healing and health to each of us. One of the easiest ways to incorporate a large variety of these health promoting greens into our daily routines is to begin learning how to make and enjoy the greens smoothie or greens drinks!
Eating seasonally, as suggested by Elson M. Haas, MD & Buck Levin, PhD, RD in their book, Staying Healthy with Nutrition, The complete guide to diet and nutritional medicine,  is the best way to use food as medicine to help build a strong immune system.  Our health and healing has much to do with how we live our daily life.

Building and strengthening your  immune system incorporates the Whole You,the mind, body, and spirit including your environment  to assist you on your health and healing journey.
These recipes can be simple drinks to introduce their healing properties into your life style choices for healing and health promotion. Beginning with 40% greens and 60% fruits can help to transition to these terrific health drinks. Then slowly progress to 60% greens and 40% fruits.
Finding basic balance is what Victoria Boutenko from www.rawfamily.com suggests:
Beginners Smoothie
1 banana
1 cup organic kale & spinach
1 cup fresh water
Put all in power blender Yields 1 quart
By adding different greens one obtains different tastes and wonderful healing properties from the plants.
Try mixing any of the following greens: dandelion greens, celery, cabbages, sorrel, beet, bokchoy leaves.

The varieties of greens are  endless.

Activity – Movement – Motion

Walking & Biking

Moving  is an activity that most  humans do each day. Whether one refers to this  formally as exercises  for  health promotion  or enjoyment of  gardening and walking each day,  this is a lifestyle choice  that is necessary to support one’s health and healing.

Using various activities of moving throughout your day is  a way to assist the heart and lymphatic system to implement  better circulation, the  nervous system to find calmness, and to assist digestion.  When you  get up and move you are  making a healthy lifestyle choice.

A great activity for moving about is to get yourself, and children, involved in gardening. Healthy foods and excercise.

Or choose fun activities like dancing, swimming, or  learn Tai Chi as a more gentle way to help with healing and health promotion in your daily life.  These can become a social or an individual pursuit, whichever works for your life.

The health empowering idea is to get up and move.

Water Aerobics can be a fun way to help unwind and strengthen the breath.

Tai Chi

There are many DVDs or classes both on line and perhaps in your area (i.e.YMCA) that can help you to learn this gentle way of moving the body and assisting in your healing process.

Finding Your Way to Health ~ Healing is A Journey – A Way of Life.

Finding Your Way to Health ~ Healing is A Journey – A Way of Life.

Begin Today ~ to Repair-Renew-Rejuvenate
Making the choice to grow and heal, rather than to age into chronic diseases, is a decision we each make in our lives.
Your intuitive Self is always there with you, watching and helping as you move through your hectic daily life.
Some refer to this as Inner-Wisdom or the Great Healer with which we are each born.
The life energy is called many different names:  life force energy, soul, life essence,  Chi,  Ki, or God are just a few.
This healer within is the Inner Self that is assisting and protecting as we make decisions in life.
Symptoms Our Health Communicators
Symptoms are the language spoken by the Inner Healer; whether these are physical health related or mental anxiety depends on where our disruptions are happening and the stage of our life and healing journey.
For me, deciding to pursue a PhD in Natural Health was the best direction to empower my personal health and healing goals.
I began my college career at 40 years of age.  I began with learning about children’s developmental stages and then women’s concerns is where my studies continued ending with a degree in Women’s Studies. Furthering my academic career with a Bachelors Degree in Developmental Psychology in human development gave me an overview of one’s health also . Then to add to my knowledge base I found it important to find out how we progress and develop in communication skills  by obtaining my Masters Degree in Communication.
With my own aging process moving forward I knew  I needed to know how and where does ill-health and chronic disease come from and why doctors insisted on putting a label to these symptoms thereby trying to find a disease or two for me. […]

Building Health – With Dietary Choices

Doctors of the Future – Here Now
“The doctor of the future will treat (her) his patients with proper diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”  Thomas A. Edison revealed this long ago as the best way for healing and health promotion.
Food IS Medicine
By making a choice to eat organic and seasonal vegetables, fruits, and leafy greens you are assisting in building health, in cell repair and renewal as these foods replenish one’s mind, body, spirit, and environment.
Medicine that has healthy side effects!
Try introducing yourself to a new vegetable or fruit this spring. There will be many varieties to choose from in your grocery store or local farmers’ market.
Eating seasonally and consuming more organic foods is important on your healing journey; it is also important to not introduce more chemicals and toxins into your digestive system. “Variety is the spice of life”.
Dr. Elson M. Haas also suggests in his book, Staying Healthy with Nutrition, The Complete Guide to Diet and Nutritional Medicine, that one look to food as a way to rebuild health.
Be sure when grocery shopping to find the following and include them for your healthy lifestyle choices.
Produce: fresh and organic is best at least 5 servings of vegetables and fruits.
Starches: Carrots, hard squashes, potatoes, beets, and whole grains should be a minimum of 4 servings a day.
Calcium:  Include sesame seeds, nuts, and green leafy vegetables. If tolerated some dairy can be included, especially non-sugared yogurts and Kefir products.
Proteins: cooked legumes, fish, sprouted legumes or seeds, eggs, nuts, poultry, lamb, beef or pork (less or no meats) some leafy greens for 2 to 3 servings.
Oils: olive, safflower, flax-seed, sunflower, and canola are the best choices. […]
